Sinfonia, Bahhofstrasse, Erlenbach

The advantage of living children-free, is the liberty to go for lunch at the spur of the moment. I heard good things of the Sinfonia in Erlenbach and head over there. White table cloth, elder patrons this is clearly a traditional restaurant. I start of with a juicy shrimp served on a bed of warm vegetables. Here you can clearly taste the skill of the chef and his crew, every vegetable had it’s distinct and impeccable taste. Since this was lunch I kept it light and tried the home made linguine oglio et aglio. Nice garlicy taste, expertly slightly fried garlic slices on silky pasta, pretty nice for a quick meal over lunch. I was feeling good and finished with a terrific nougat semi-freddo. Overall it wasn’t cheap, but the Sinfonia is certainly one of the better italian places I’ve been to lately.
