Crevettencocktail mit Spargeln und Cognac Calypso Cocktailsauce

 

Every now and then I find a true gem on a menu card and I get all excited. The Oberes Triemli is always one for delightful items. When I saw an asparagus shrimp cocktail with calypso cognac sauce I just had to try it. And boy did it blow me away! Not only was it served in a dessert style glas, with a side of toast and butter, there was more! It was topped with (slightly sweet, probably industrial) whipped cream and a black olive! No matter what you think olives and whipped cream are a very daring combination to say the least. Still – it takes balls to serve such a dish and strangely put me into a very good mood!
