I headed for a quick brunch at the Limmathof. The first thing I noticed was that the waiter seemed a little quirky. I order off the a la carte menu and lean back with my newspaper. Standard breakfast, some eggs, read more…

Talking about going back in time – the Veltliner Keller near the St. Peter really feels like a classy restaurant you see in some of the Columbo films. The dining room is covered with wood and even has a couple read more…

Choose the next restaurant

Have you ever been interested in sending your favorite food critic to a restaurant of your choosing ?

Now it’s possible! The rules are simple, you pay for a dinner for two, including drinks. If it’s outside of Zurich an SBB half-fare ticket is added as well, your choice wether you want to join or not. So as an example if you want me to check out Ömer’s Imbiss, two Kebabs and two beers, plus the ticket would mean coughing up roughly 50 CHF, a visit at Mr. Rochat’s might be a tad more expensive.

If you need more information, or want me to try something special on the menu, contact me at therealpickygourmet@gmx.ch.
