Currywurst mit Pommes
The Teutonic invasion continues – the cultural pessimists would argue. At the end of the Friesenbergstrasse, where the 32 bus stops at the Goldbrunnenplatz the food shack has been reopened as Curry One, Zurich’s first Currywurst place. Being the inquisite type I had to drop by for lunch. I’m not a great Currywurst lover, but the one served here tasted rather authentic. It was a decent bratwurst with real curry powder and a regular ketchup, fries wouldn’t have needed the additional seasoning. If you’re into Currywurst, this certainly is the place to checkout.

Bei Curry One gibts die einzig echte Currywurst in Zürich!!! Ist es die beste Currywurst von Zürich? Logisch, ist ja die einzig Echte! Die Currywurst schmeckt verdammt gut, sieht herrlich ungesund aus und die Sauce ist der Knaller! Dazu noch der sympathische deutsche Junge Reno, der genau so authentisch Currywurst serviert, wie seine teutonischen Currywurst-Buden Brüder in Berlin!
Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Hauptbahnhof, nah den Gleisen. Nah dran an einemm dänischen Hot Dog: Senf, Mayo, ketchup und Zwiebeln … Kann ich empfehlen!

The Lion pub (yet another Candrian run uninspiring enterprise) – boasts on having fish and chips – haven’t tasted it – but my expectations is you’d be disappointed:

Ich wohne gerade neben dem Currywurst Stand und kann nur sagen, es ist immer überfüllt mit Leuten aus der ganzen Welt.
