Tagespasta und Suppe

Frau Gerolds Garten opened a couple of weeks ago on an industrial wasteland near the Freitag Shop. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the Karls Kuehne Gassenschau, it reminds one when entering the vast space. An ecclectic mix of tables, garden props, tents, cooking huts and a small terrace are at your disposal, even leaving plenty of room for literally hundreds. You order at one hut and then pickup your food at the next, the assumption is that it will get quite chaotic if lots of people show up at the same time. The pasta of the day was decent, I liked the use of cheese, but was slightly disappointed at the pesto. It was probably made from the on premise herbs they grow, but like a lot of these pestos it failed to develop taste and was more like dried gras. The soup was tasty, but shame on me I forgot what it was. Overall it’s a nice sweet place for lunch, especially on the terrace if you like trainspotting and the weather isn’t rainy (even though some tables have a tent to provide cover).

  1. no soup description, no picture from the receipt (or was it too chaotic for the staff itself?)…hope you are not going to be inattentive 😉
