Golden Asia Store, Limmatstrasse, Zurich

Typically the small shops serve pretty tasty food, but I was severly disappointed at the Golden Asia Store. I was sold on the national dish of the Philippines, which is Chicken Adobo. After waiting (and there weren’t many people in the store) for about 25 minutes I was served what you can see in the Photo. Bits of bony chicken, a bit of sauce and white rice. The sauce was low on natural flavour, probably dressed with some glutamate and the pieces of chicken were from the bottom of the barrel. Even if it was only a mere 15 CHF, it wasn’t worth dining here. Either I just got unlucky, or the Philippines are a gastronomical desert.
