Blumental, Kirchgasse, Meilen

Blumental prides itself on serving great Austrian food in the town of Meilen. A quaint dining room and a smaller more private room make up the interior of the small restaurant. A hearty soup with small pieces of sausage put me into a good mood which contined with the excellent boiled beef (Tafelspitz). Tasty broth and a beautiful assortiment of condiments contributed to the dish. Getting two sauces, one with chives and another one with apple & horseradish takes this from a regular dish to a good one. I enjoyed the restauant and the food. The philosophy here seems to be do a few things, but do them great. My kind of place.
