Bumann der Restauranttester is a real picky gourmet fan

My beloved readers are already familiar with the fact and I’ll just reiterate for the occasional stray from Google Search, that I am a very modest person. In this article I wrote about the Restaurant zum Goldenen Fass and complained about the french fries. The revered Daniel Bumann visited the same place approx. 18 months later and reviewed it. If you fast forward the episode to about 20 minutes after the beginning you discover that the culprit is using the wrong type of oil (canola instead of peanut oil or similar). I guess the lesson here is that the serious media (3+) lag about 18 months behind the underground avantgarde.

On a more serious note even though I love the show and highly appreciate the way Bumann interacts (at least on television) with his “clients”, the location is a tough one. In the same area you have the Le Chef, the Der Schwiizer and the Truebli Bar. Let’s see if Bumann’s magic hands pay off, I certainly wish they do.
