“Beiz” that’s the mythical place where swiss males find and have found happiness for the past century or so. Gentrification, Globalisation, Smoking-Bans and other trends are putting pressure on these ritualistic watering holes. So one has to go a bit farther to find a classic Beiz, this time to Affoltern, Zurich. All the classic elements are in place including a copy of the Nöggi Zytig, a publication which creates happiness and joy among the readers. The gemischter Salat was okay, nothing to get too excited about, but true Beiz fashion. The roeschti with the Entrecote tasted slighty weird, it had this metallic tang which resembles the same taste that the Hero Ferti Roeschti also has. Meat was good though. Anyway it was exactely what you would expect in a Beiz, so no bitching just happiness that the Beiz exists.
