VP Catering Bistro, Ankerstrasse, Zürich

VP Catering runs a cute bistro between Bezirksgebäude and Bahnhof Wiedikon. It seats about 20 people and also does takeaway. Cusisine clearly being Greek, focussing on what you’d expect from a Greek place. A nice touch are the pre-filled caraffe of water on every table and the generous helping of bread, where the sesame seeds give a bit of extra taste.

Taste remains a big topic – the Souvlaki with potatoes, vegetables and tzatziki. All elements fall a bit flat. Except for the vegetables everything seemed fresh & homemade. I would have liked stronger flavors. Especially on the meat some roast aromas and more char would have gone a long way.
