Banh Mi sandwich

Some places are so new – they don’t even have a proper website. Frankly, I’m not even sure that it’s called “Banh Mi”. The former Limmatlädeli is now a vietnamese place serving Banh Mi sandwiches and rice noodle dishes. The place is super clean, food is super fresh and you pick either beef, chicken, pork or tofu (for the people who like to fly to Bali twice a year and save the planet by eating processed soy).

A baguette is split open, your preferred topping added, pickled carrots, cucumbers, coriander, chilis, mayo, a dab of Maggi and other condiments added to turn it into a very satisfying lunch. I also recommend grabbing one of the salads for 5 CHF, we’ve tried a quinoa vegetable and a japanese pickle one, but good and nicely cooked. The sandwich will set you back approx. 12 CHF, which is a good deal considering the quality of ingredients and the care put into the food. My new favourite lunch place.
