Weisses Rössli, Bederstrasse, Zürich

One of the most underrated restaurants in Zurich is the Weisses Rössli. It has this unique mix of class and modesty, which is often missed in other locations. And – especially in summer – the small hidden garden is overlooked by many. The menu has been revamped and as you can tell from the website also their look.
We kick off with a cold saibling dish. Beautiful presentation, lovely textures with cucumber and thin radish slices, simply an elegant way to start the meal. Main course was a classic entrecote with french fries, vegetables and homemade ketchup. The entrecote was slightly overcooked, everything else was top notch. Especially the homemade fries really made our day. Dessert was a simple cheesecake with rhubard. Again a nice, well thought out combination.
Well thought out ist also the menu. Water as much as you like, bread and coffee are included, you simply pick how many courses you like. I forgot the price (was invited by a dear friend) – but I can wholeheartedly recommend the revamped Weisses Rössli.
