The Yuppisiation of the Langstrasse is in full gear. The Seefeld is dead at night, except for some german immigrants who read the Lonely Planet (instead of your favorite web site right here) and even worse is the Niederdorf, where read more…

11. March 2009

Heimelig da Bernasconi doesn’t even have a website, it doesn’t seem to need the publicity. With only a handful of tables to fill that does seem viable. The restaurant used to be called Cafe Heimelig and to capitalize on the read more…

Choose the next restaurant

Have you ever been interested in sending your favorite food critic to a restaurant of your choosing ?

Now it’s possible! The rules are simple, you pay for a dinner for two, including drinks. If it’s outside of Zurich an SBB half-fare ticket is added as well, your choice wether you want to join or not. So as an example if you want me to check out Ömer’s Imbiss, two Kebabs and two beers, plus the ticket would mean coughing up roughly 50 CHF, a visit at Mr. Rochat’s might be a tad more expensive.

If you need more information, or want me to try something special on the menu, contact me at therealpickygourmet@gmx.ch.
